I Officially Declare: Star Wars Week

**To be played while reading!**
Thanks to a Tweet from Wil Wheaton, I have discovered that yesterday was the 30th Anniversary of the release of The Empire Strikes Back!
May 21 should probably be an official geek holiday.

Therefore, as still in the spirit of the series I’m regularly working on (100 Modern Movie Classics You MUST See Before You Die), I’m going to review the Star Wars Saga (yes…even the prequels) this week. I’ve enjoyed ALL of the movies (ALL of them, dangit!) and I’ll talk about about likes and dislikes throughout the trilogy.
Anyway, I could go on and on about my love for Star Wars, but I’ll save it for this week. Suffice it to say, it was a formative series of films (and, yes, the books too!) for me and I even enjoyed the prequels (don’t kill me, please!! I’m not in love with Jar-Jar…).
May the force be with me!

  1. Don’t you find it funny — or at least ironic — that it’s Will Wheaton?

Just a heads up: won’t be wanting to discuss SW with you this week. We’re just not going to agree about the prequels. I can’t accept them and consider them lower than spoofs.

    That said, have fun watching!

  2. I can’t wait to read your reviews. Not sure if I will get to them today as I am running out of time on my break. However, I promise to read all of them in their entirety and comment accordingly.
